Timeshift is now Pre-Installed

This makes backing up the system quick and easy.

Snailed It!

Snailed It! - a JPT Game - is the first game to be pre-included with Shock OS.

Built-in Update Manger

An update manager will now be pre-included with Shock OS. It will check for updates regularly.

More Modern Desktop Messages

Messages displayed during the setup process now use Yad and Zenity instead of Xmessage. This results in a much more modern look.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Wireless connectivity was missing in previous releases. We are proud to announce that Shock OS 3.0 Carson now comes with Wi-Fi connectivity included out-of-the-box! NOTE: On Legacy Editoin, Wi-Fi will only fully work after the setup has been completed.

New Screensavers

The 'Floating GNOME' and 'Floating MATE' screensavers have been removed. A new 'Floating Lightning Bolt' screensaver has taken their place.

Startup Sound

A new lightning strike startup sound has been added.
