Shock OS Apps
These apps are developed by the Shock OS Team and are installed by default on the latest version of Shock OS.
- Automatic Updates
Automatically scan for and install available updates upon startup and every 15 minutes.
- Desktop Backgrounds
Choose between a static or slideshow wallpaper and change the background colors.
- Desktop Icons
Choose which desktop icons to show or hide.
- Fonts
Install, remove, and manage fonts.
- Package Installer
Install/remove .deb packages.
- Panel Layouts
Change the panel layout.
- Parental Controls
Set and manage screen time tracking and/or screen time limits on child users.
- Release Upgrader
Scan for available upgrades to newer versions of Shock OS and notify the user if any are available.
- Screen Time
View screen time usage for users with the feature enabled, and manage screen time tracking settings for adult users (adults users can manage the screen time tracking settings for child users in the Parental Controls app).
- Shock OS Imager
Create a fresh installation of Shock OS on an external drive.
- Shockware Center
An app store for Shock OS. Search for, install, and remove apps. Supports Debian packages from the APT repos as well as Flatpaks (Flatpak support is enabled by default).
- ShockVer
Yes, this ShockVer is inspired by Windows' famous WinVer. Type "shockver" in a terminal to see the version of Shock OS you are running, it's build date, and your CPU architecture (ARM 32-bit or ARM 64-bit).

Change the startup sound that plays when you log in to the desktop.

Customize the look and feel of your desktop by installing, removing, and applying themes.
- Update Manager
Scan for and install available updates.

Add and remove adult and child users.
- Welcome
A welcome window with some first-run steps to personalize your desktop.
- Web Apps
Run your favorite websites as if they were apps.
- Windows
Allows you to switch between supported window managers: Marco, Compton, and Mutter (Mutter support is experimental).
